Choose the right hose ferrule
The skive hose ferrule is for skive hose, and non skive ferrule is for non skive hose. Non skive hose is different from skive hose for its thickness of the outer cover. Due to the thickness, the thicker cover requires different hose sleeves. To distinguish between skive hose ferrules and non skive hose shells, we look at the fourth number of hose ferrule part no. 0 represents external skive; 1 denotes non skive; 2 means both internal and external skive. So for example, 03310 is non skive hose sleeve and 00621 is skive hose shell. Or to put it simple, if we do NOT want to peel, use 03310 for one and two wire and 004SP for four wire.
After figuring out the skive or non skive ferrule, the next step to select the appropriate ferrule to make hose assembly is to match the inner diameter of the hose ferrule to the outer diameter of the hose.
