One Piece Hose Fittings Have a Ferrule That Is Pre-Crimped onto The Hose Fitting.
One piece hose fittings have a ferrule that is pre-crimped onto the hose fitting. For that reason, they are also referred as pre-crimped fittings. The advantage of using one piece hose fittings is that this design ensure the right match of the hose fitting and ferrule. Another benefit is that the collar will not slip out of alignment and is therefor much easier and quicker to make hose assembly. The downside is that the one piece fitting is more expensive than two piece because the procedure of pre-crimped cost money.
